“The Serpent”
“The Serpent” is the second poem in the “Lucid Landscapes” set. This chalice was inspired by Hildegard von Bingen’s O Virtus Sapientiae. The song will mirror the style of Renaissance music with a drone in the cello and a weaving, serpentine vocal line, circularly mirroring a serpent, specifically the Ouroboros.
